Ward visiting times

If you are visiting a patient at Royal Derby Hospital or London Road Community Hospital, you will find each ward's visiting times below.

Please click on the ward name / number for more information. Visitors may be able to come outside of these hours with the agreement of ward staff.

We recommend only 2 visitors per patient at any one time.

Additional information
  • Normal visiting patterns do not apply to the Labour ward due to the nature of care being given.
  • To ensure the security & privacy for all patients on the labour ward there are no visiting hours.
  • The two named birth partners are welcome throughout the duration on the labour.
  • No children until after the baby is born, then only baby's siblings may visit with the named birth partner.
  • Alternative arrangements are at the discretion of the midwife in charge and need to be made in advance.
