Information & Support Hubs

Information hub icons

We provide a welcoming, confidential, drop-in service for patients, carers, relatives and staff.

What we do

The Information and Support Hubs are designed to help people in finding the right information or service for their individual need.

At our Information and Support Hubs you'll find trained volunteers on hand to answer your questions. You will also be able to access booklets, leaflets and other sources of information free of charge.

Our trained volunteers will support you in finding the right information for you and signpost you to other services that may be helpful, as well as offering referrals, where appropriate, for specific advice on a wide range of services e.g. welfare and benefits.

All of the information you provide is in the strictest confidence and will only be used to help and assist you in accessing information, advice and services appropriate to your needs.

The clinical care we provide at the hospital is only part of the picture.  Patients, carers, families and staff might also need information and support on a range of topics such as support with benefits, care homes, help for carers and many other things.  This is available from staff and volunteers at the Information and Support Hubs located in the PALS Office, Royal Derby Hospital (open Monday- Friday 9am - 5pm), and at the the London Road Community Hospital, opposite the main reception desk (opening times vary).  With consent, we can signpost or refer people to other organisations which can help people to stay safe, healthy and independent.  Please come and see for yourself what types of support the hubs can offer.
