Things not to bring with you

If you are staying in hospital, please do not bring:

  • large suitcases, as we have only very limited space for clothing and personal property
  • large amounts of food
  • any valuables such as jewellery, or large sums of money; a small amount of cash for newspapers and phone calls should be sufficient.

If you do bring essential valuables into hospital, please tell a member of staff, who will arrange for them to be kept in the hospital safe.

If you wish to keep your valuables or money with you, you will be asked to sign a form to indicate that you are happy to keep them with you and accept responsibility for their safe keeping.

The Trust will not accept liability for loss of or damage to any article kept in your possession
