Have you considered a career in the NHS?

Published 30/10/2017

Derby Teaching Hospitals will this week host our fourth Careers Event for teenagers interested in working for the NHS.

The event aims to inspire youngsters aged between 14-19 years old to consider all of the many clinical and non-clinical career opportunities that the NHS offers.

Information on future careers ranging from Nursing and Midwifery to Human Resources and IT Project Management will all be provided during Friday’s event, at the Royal Derby Hospital.

Different talks are scheduled to take place on Apprenticeships, Medical Education, Radiotherapy, Radiography, Clinical Psychology, Specialist Midwifery and Pharmacy, from 5.30pm-8pm, at the Lecture Theatre, Education Centre.

We aim to ensure that the students are provided with all of the information they need about the different career pathways, which will then, hopefully, influence the subject options they choose to study for their GCSEs and A Levels.

Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust will also be in attendance throughout the evening to represent all of the different career options that currently exist in mental health services.
