Entrance to Children's Hospital to be temporarily closed on Sunday

Published 01/08/2017

If you’re visiting the Royal Derby Hospital on Sunday, please be aware that the main entrance to the Children’s Hospital will be cordoned off throughout the day.

Pedestrians will instead have to access the department by going through the Gynaecology Entrance 20 next door, or by going through the main hospital as normal.

Drivers will be prevented from accessing the road leading up to the Children’s Hospital throughout the day, although the hospital loop road will remain unaffected by the closure.

Some of the parts for a brand new MRI scanner will be lifted via a crane over the Fertility Unit and Gynaecology Theatres to the Children's Hospital, with works set to begin at 7am and last all day.
