HEE East Midlands Clinical Scholar Award 2017/18

One of the principles within the Trust's Research, Development & Innovation Strategy (2015-2020) is to grow, support and facilitate research-active, non-medical, clinical staff.

If you wish to develop a clinical academic career, the HEE (Health Education England) East Midlands Clinical Scholar scheme is an excellent opportunity to do so as it supports non-medical clinical staff to develop their research knowledge, skills and experience. The scheme also provides funding to enable the post to be back-filled for the days when the Scholar is involved with the scheme.

The two awards are the bronze award which is managed by Lincoln University and the silver award managed by the University of Nottingham.  Up to 5 places are being offered up by the HEE:EM for NHS Nurses, Midwives, Allied Health Professionals, Chiropractors, Clinical Psychologists, Healthcare Scientists, Health Visitors, Operating Department Practitioners, Optometrist and Dispensing Opticians, Osteopaths, Pharmacy Professions, Non-Medical Public Health Specialty Trainees, Specialists and Consultants and Wider Dental Team Professions, registered in the East Midlands.

For those who have completed a masters degree or equivalent postgraduate qualification, they may apply for the silver award whilst those without this qualification can apply for the bronze award.

Application Deadline for both awards: 30th June 2017         Interviews: 6th & 7th September 2017
