For Patients and Public

CENEWLINKWelcome to the Research, Development & Innovation Department. Derby Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides a diverse and vibrant research environment and we are proud of the ground breaking research carried out by our investigators and researchers.

We are research active organisation because:

  • Research is important in helping us to improve existing treatments and services, to better understand diseases and find new treatments.
  • Clinical trials offer an opportunity to contribute to the efforts to find better treatments for the future.
  • Taking part in research could mean that you may be one of the first people to receive the newest treatments.

Within the Research webpages, you will find useful information about how you can get involved in the development of a research project.

You can read patients’ testimonials in the “ Patient testimonials ” page. We also welcome your comments, stories and  feedback about research.
