If ?TB risk, please ensure high risk stickers are used and clinical details in filled in appropriately. 
Please see policy below for procedure for taking samples for blood culture bottles.

Routine M,C & S includes Gram Film and Culture. 
Crystal Investigation is only performed on native joint aspirates 
It is important for the laboratory to know if the sample was taken pre or post antibiotic therapy. 
Turn around time
7 Days, 5 days if in blood culture bottle.
