Special requirements for specimen collection
Container should be correctly labelled with patients full name and date of birth, then sent to the laboratory with request form. Container must NOT contain the cervex brush head.  PLEASE ENSURE THT HIGH RISK SAMPLES ARE  CLEARLY MARKED.

Microscopic assessment to detect pre-cancerous changes of the Cervix.  NHS Cervical Screening Programme offers routine tests 3-yearly for women aged 25-49 and 5-yearly for women aged 50-64.
