Special requirements for specimen collection
Trough samples, i.e., taken immediately before the next dose must be taken unless otherwise directed. Cyclosporin levels can vary 10-fold between peak and trough levels, and taking samples at incorrect times can lead to patient mismanagement.
Reference Ranges
95 - 200 ug/L for a sibling donor; 150-250 ug/L for a matched unrelated donor; 95-205 ug/L (adult target range for renal transplant patients).  Different ranges may apply in other circumstances.
