18ml blood in plain tube plus EDTA sample
Special requirements for specimen collection
Inform lab before samples are collected. Serum: plain tubes  2x 10 ml or 3 x7 ml,  to provide at least 18 ml of blood. MUST BE KEPT AT 37C AT ALL TIMES.Plasma : EDTA x1 ( a plasma sample is required to detected cryofibrinogen). Keep at 37 C and contact Laboratory for suitable transportation material before taking samples. Samples need to reach the Lab between 9.00 - 15.00, Monday - Friday

Samples MUST be kept at 37C, at all times.  Failure to do so may invalidate the test.
