Private treatment often commences as a result of an NHS appointment with your GP, at which time you can express your desire to be treated privately.
Your GP will then normally refer you by letter to an appropriate consultant who will see you for a private consultation. The consultant will contact you to arrange a mutually convenient appointment.
If you would like to receive your private treatment at Derby Hospitals then please indicate this to your GP and the consultant of choice.
For more information about our consultants please refer to our ‘Consultants’ link or contact us, or the consultant, directly.
If you have private medical insurance, you must contact your insurer before being seen to ensure that you have adequate cover and to obtain an authorisation number.
If you are paying for your treatment yourself, then please contact us for an estimate for your treatment. A deposit for the full estimated cost will be required before your treatment starts. Please see our pricing and payment page for more information.
