Macmillan cancer information & support centre

The Macmillan Information Centre provides information and support to patients and carers, healthcare professionals and members of the public.

It offers information about cancer at all stages of the disease, the types of treatment that may be offered to patients and the services that are available locally.

If you or your family have been affected by cancer, you can get free, confidential advice about welfare benefits and money from a specialist Macmillan benefits adviser which can be arranged via the Information centre or from the Citizens’ Advice Bureau.

The Information centre is located in the Royal Derby Hospital, Level 1, near Entrance 24, opposite the Nightingale Macmillan Unit. It is open Monday-Friday between 8.30am-4.30pm.

When the centre is closed information on cancer is available at Macmillan Cancer Support or by telephoning 0808 808 00 00.

Enquiries can be made by either calling in to the centre, or by letter or telephone.

Outside of the opening hours a message can be left on the answer phone and someone will return your call as soon as possible.
