Faith centre

The faith centre is at the heart of the hospital, on level 1, and is a place open to all. We welcome people of faith or of no particular faith. It is a place to be quiet and still. A place to reflect, a place just to be, a place to pray.

If you are a patient, a visitor or a member of staff you are welcome to visit this space. The centre is the home of the chaplaincy service.

Coming into hospital can be an anxious time. Chaplains and chaplaincy visitors work as a team offering a listening ear, spiritual care and pastoral support.

Chaplains visit all wards and there is always a chaplain on call. Out of hours the chaplain is only available for emergencies. To contact Roman Catholic priests please contact switchboard at all times.

We do not talk about God or religion unless that is what you want.

Chaplains are available to patients, relatives or friends, on the wards and in the faith centre.

Chaplaincy volunteers

We have a large team of volunteers who work as visitors and other roles. Please contact us if you are interested in volunteering.
