Thinking of choosing us?

What is patient choice?

NHS patients in England can choose where and when they have hospital treatment. If you and your GP agree that you need to be referred to see a specialist, then you have a choice which hospital or clinic you wish to attend.

Whether you’re from Derby, Nottingham or another part of the country, as a patient you have the right to choose Derby Hospitals. You can ask your GP to refer you to one of our hospitals for treatment.

To find out more about your choices go to the NHS Choices website.
