Medicine for Members - These popular talks are a great way for members to meet up and see first hand what is happening in the hospitals.They are led by our own medical staff and managers to cover specific medical conditions and other hospital related matters.
Join us for a hot drink and a biscuit from 5.30pm, meet your governors and chat to other members. Talks start at 6pm and are held in the Education Centre, Royal Derby Hospital and pre-booking is required, just call 01332 786896 or e-mail membership@derbyhospitals.nhs.

22 October - The rising tide of liver disease - Liver disease is the fifth "biggest killer" in England and Wales after heart, cancer, stroke and respiratory disease. Of these liver disease is the only cause of death still increasing year on year. Dr Lawson will discuss the cause of the increase in liver disease and outline what needs to be done to turn the tide
