Council of Governors

Picture of a Derby Governor speaking to Members
The Council of Governors ensures that the view of members, as well as those of the wider community, is represented appropriately. The Council of Governors comprises of members who are either elected by our staff and public members, or selected to represent the views of the specialist fields in which they work.

The Council of Governors is not responsible for the day-to-day management of the Trust, this responsibility remains with the board of directors. However the board ensures the Council of Governors is fully engaged in determining the future plans of the Trust.

 Governor Meetings

Governors meet bi-monthly, 5pm to 7pm at the Royal Derby Hospital. Members of the public can attend the meetings to listen to the discussions.
