The Council of Governors ensures that the view of members, as well as those of the wider community, is represented appropriately. The Council of Governors comprises of 32 members who are either elected by our staff and public members, or selected to represent the views of the specialist fields in which they work.
The Council of Governors is not responsible for the day-to-day management of the Trust, this responsibility remains with the board of directors. However the board ensures the Council of Governors is fully engaged in determining the future plans of the Trust.
If you are interested in becoming a Governor or have any questions on the role, please contact us by e-mail membership@derbyhospitals.nhs.uk or on 01332 786896.
