Hospital Major Incident Management and Medical Support (HMIMMS)

Objectives

The course aims to provide candidates with the knowledge and skills required to effectively plan for potential major incidents; manage at all levels during a major incident; understand how and when to implement the major incident policy

Target Group

Candidates should be anyone who is likely to be involved in the management of a major incident within their hospital. For further information about their eligibility, candidates should contact the ALSG office directly on 0161 794 1999 or enquiries@alsg.org

Duration

The HMIMMS course is run over two consecutive days.

Assessment

Candidates are subject to continual assessment throughout the course. The course is mainly delivered as a series of lectures, interactive discussion groups (tabletop exercises) and workshops. Candidates are also required to take both a pre- and post-course multiple choice questionnaire (MCQ).

Cost

Candidates are subject to a course fee of £300, which includes course materials and daytime catering.
