Nursing

 The role of the Practice Placement Facilitator (PPF) is to:

  • Work alongside mentor and educators across all divisions to provide a high level of support in order to strengthen the practice learning experience in relation to high quality learning, assessment strategies, governing body requirements and completion of documentation through strong clinical leadership.
  • Enhance the learning experience and promote patient safety through strong clinical leadership.

 

In line with strategic objectives:
  • Putting patients first

  • Right first time
  • Investing our resources wisely
  • Developing and supporting each other

  • Ensuring value from partnerships

 The ways in which we can achieve this are:

  •  Working directly alongside and support the student workforce in practice areas
  • Supporting mentors/ clinical educators in clinical areas with student documentation and understanding and working with competency frameworks

  • Providing guidance and signposting

  • Promoting interprofessional learning opportunities
