Council of governors

As an NHS Foundation Trust we have a Council of Governors which ensures that the views of members, as well as those of the wider community, are represented.

There are 31 members on the Council of Governors, who are either elected by our staff and public members, or appointed by our key partners.

Help Support Your Trust

Are you interested in the way your hospitals are run, or what happens in the Trust which runs them? If so, you might be interested in becoming a member of our Trust.

We currently have more than 17,000 public and staff members, who are able to have their say on services and elect our Council of Governors, which is there to ensure the views of members and the wider community are represented appropriately.

Council of Governor elections take place once a year in the spring.

If you feel like getting a bit more involved in the Trust and have the skills to offer why not apply to be one of our Governors? Please call the membership office on 01332 785440.
