Pedal your way across the Peaks for your local hospital charity

Published 05/06/2013

Derby Hospitals Charity is asking people to celebrate the end of National Bike Week by taking part in a sponsored 35 mile cycle ride on Sunday 23 June 2013. The cycle ride - a mixture of 25 miles of traffic free cycling and 10 miles on country roads - will allow fundraisers to enjoy the Derbyshire Dales at their best. Starting at the visitor centre at Carsington Water at 9.30am, this 35 mile cycle ride takes in parts of the Tissington Trail and the High Peak Trail before returning back to Carsington.

Kerry Brady, Events and Community Fundraiser said: “This event is a test of stamina, but it’s not a race so everyone can cycle at their own pace. As with all our events, anyone who takes part can support the ward or department that means the most to them, which should help to give them that extra push when cycling up the hills.”

There’s still time to register online at www.derbyhospitals.nhs.uk/charityevents or contact Kerry Brady on 01332 786445 or email kerry.brady1@nhs.net for more information.
