Published 01/05/2013

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) nurse specialist, Caroline Jordan from Derby Hospitals has been nominated by one of her patients for a ‘Super Nurse Award’ by the MS Trust for making a real difference to people with multiple sclerosis.

The MS Trust launched the ‘My Super Nurse award’ in 2012 as part of MS Awareness Week and aims to recognise and highlight the real difference MS nurses can make for people who have MS.

Caroline is one of just a few hundred MS nurse specialists in the UK, and is part of a team of two MS nurses here at the Trust. Caroline supports around 400 people in the area who are living with the neurological condition multiple sclerosis.

Caroline was nominated for the national award by one of her patients and said: “I couldn't believe it when I was nominated for the MS Trust's My Super Nurse award. It’s so lovely that my patients had taken the time to nominate me. It reflects really well on the service as a whole and to be able to make a real difference in people’s lives.”

The winner will be announced on Thursday 2 May 2013.
