Two consultants from Derby Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Consultant Breast Surgeon, Amit Goyal and Consultant Anaesthetist Stuart Gold, have been photographed for an exhibition at Derby Museum and Gallery which portrays the people who have influenced Derby’s cultural, economic and industrial landscape.

The 'Still Waters' exhibition by photographer Brian Griffin, is a visual expression of Derby’s history of creativity, innovation and is part of the FORMAT 13 International Photography Festival which is now one of the UK’s leading non-profit international contemporary festivals of photography.

Dr Gold said: “I was surprised by the number of people and amount of equipment required to take the portrait. The attention that went into the lighting and positioning was incredible. When the photographer was happy with the photo it took less than five minutes to take; but it had taken 45 minutes to set up. The end result was really impressive. At the time of the portrait; I was growing a moustache for "Movember" which explains my moustache.”

The exhibition runs until 2 June at Derby Museum and Art Gallery.
