Royal Derby bus

The Royal Derby Hospital has a dedicated bus service which runs every 12 minutes Monday - Friday and every 20 minutes on Saturdays between the Royal Derby Hospital, the city centre, Derby Train Station and London Road Community Hospital.

The Royal Derby bus runs between the two sites from 05:28 until 21:26 Monday - Friday and 05:17 until 20:43 on Saturdays.

You can purchase Mango bus passes every 1st Tuesday in the month from the Trent Barton Stand (Next to Boots)

Other buses to the Royal Derby Hospital


The Royal Derby Hospital is served by a number of other frequent bus services. 

  • The Mickleover Flyer - up to every 7-8 minutes Monday - Saturday and every 15 minutes on a Sunday. 
     
  • Arriva 5/5A/6/6A - up to every 15 minutes Monday - Saturday and every 30 minutes on a Sunday. 
        
  • The Villager V1 & V2 - up to every 30 minutes Monday - Saturday and every 2 hours on a Sunday.

  • X38 to Burton fast - every 20 minutes Monday - Saturday and every 30minutes on a Sunday.

Derby train station connects to all major cities and towns in the midlands.

The Royal Derby bus stops outside Derby Train Station before continuing its journey to the London Road Community Hospital and Royal Derby Hospital 

If you do wish to walk to the London Road Community Hospital it is a 5 minute walk down Midland Road.
