Freedom of Information Act 

The Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA) came into force on 1 January 2005 giving members of the public certain rights to ask public authorities for information relating to the public authority. Under the terms of the Act Derby Teaching Hospitals has two main obligations:
  • To maintain a Publication Scheme, outlining the information that is routinely published by the Trust.

  • To respond to requests for information from members of the public.


Making a request

If you would like to request information not included in the scheme you should submit a request either via email or letter to:

The Trust will consider any special requests, e.g. providing hard copies, although there may be a charge for doing so. If you have a special request, you will be advised of any fees applicable before the information is provided to you.
