Respiratory Wards

The respiratory specialty wards can all be found on Level 4 of the Royal Derby Hospital. Information about each ward is detailed below:

Ward 403 

Ward 403 is a 28-bedded acute respiratory ward.  Within the ward we have 4 dedicated high dependency beds for patients that require a higher level of medical and nursing care.

The team on 403 consists of a medical team of Doctors, Registered Nurses, Assistant Practitioners, Health Care Assistants, Physiotherapists, Occupational therapist, Modern Housekeeper and Receptionists.

Our Vision is to provide patients and relatives with the care and attention that they need whilst they are in hospital to make their stay with us as comfortable.  We are a close team that considers our patients our priority and we strive to give the best care possible through delivering high standards of personalised care in a friendly and supportive environment ensuring that we promote privacy and dignity.

Supported by sisters and charge nurse.

Ward 404

Ward 404 is the newest addition to the Royal Derby Respiratory Unit. We care for 28 patients both male and female with respiratory and general medical complaints. The core members of the ward team include: medical staff, registered nurses, health care assistants, a house keeper, receptionist, physiotherapist and an occupational therapist.

Our vision is to provide patients with holistic and seamless care in a safe environment.  All ward staff take pride in caring and we have a wealth of experiences and knowledge within different areas of nursing including expertise in arranging complex discharges from hospital.

We hope all patients find their stay on Ward 404 as comfortable as possible and we welcome your feedback.
