Contacts Panel Image
Opening times:

Monday – Friday 8:00 – 18:00. We are closed on bank holidays.

Appointment timings:

Appointments for new patients are generally 40 minutes and follow up appointments are generally 20 minutes.

Please note that this includes time required for associated admin and documentation. It is helpful if you can arrive a few minutes earlier than your appointment time, as there may be some paperwork to fill in.

If you are running late, please let us know where possible. It may not be possible for us to see you if you are late and this will depend upon the discretion of the physiotherapist.

If you cannot attend your appointment, please let us know, giving 24 hours notice where possible to enable us to offer your appointment to another patient.

Contact information:

Tel 01332 254631

If we are unable to take your call, please leave a message on our answerphone and we will respond as soon as possible.

Directions:

Our address is London Road Community Hospital, London Road, Derby, DE1 2QY

The physiotherapy department is located off Junction 3, level 3. Enter the hospital via the main entrance. Junction 3 is just after the post box on the left. Go up one floor using the stairs or lift and the physiotherapy department is signposted towards the right.

Discharge policy:

If you fail to attend an appointment, our policy is to discharge you if you have not made contact with us within one week. If you fail to attend 2 appointments, you may be discharged.

Physiotherapy and work experience students:

We often have students observing or working in our department under supervision of a qualified physiotherapist. You may be asked if you mind being seen by a student physiotherapist, or observed by a work experience student. Please let us know if you do not agree to this.

If you are interested in completing a physiotherapy work experience placement, please contact Shanice Bailey at shanice.bailey@nhs.net.

If you are a physiotherapy student and would like more information about our department, please contact  the Practice Learning Support Unit on 01332 785266 or email dhft.physiostudents@nhs.net.

Clinics

We also have some satellite clinics in GP surgeries. If this is offered at your surgery you will be given the option to be seen there when you make your initial appointment.
