EMAS

Currently non-emergency transport should be booked as follows:

Chesterfield patients should book transport directly with their GP.

Derbyshire patients should ring NSL 0843 357 1553 to arrange transport.

Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire patients should ring Arriva 08452669662

Changes to Non-Emergency Patient Transport Services 

From 1 August 2016, EMAS will take over from NSL to provide non-emergency patient transport for patients living in Derbyshire. This will affect patients attending outpatient appointments, being discharged from wards or being transferred to another hospital. There will be some changes to the way transport is booked and the eligibility criteria will also change. This may have a significant impact on patients who are currently eligible for transport.

Translation

Chesterfield patients should arrange translator services through their GP.

Derbyshire patients should arrange translator service through the Booking Team: 01332 254977.

If a patient requires Portering services at hospital locations they should approach the Main Reception from where Porters can be requested.  The smaller Health Centres and GP surgeries do not have portering services available.
