About

The colorectal Service provides an extensive surgical service for all aspects of colorectal disease including: Inflammatory bowel disease, Colorectal cancer diagnoses and Surgery, Benign anorectal disease and stoma care.

Supporting our five Consultant Surgeons, the Multidisciplinary team comprising of Physicians, Oncologists, Radiologists and two Colorectal Nurse Specialists meet weekly to discuss ongoing case management of patients. The colorectal team are also support by three Stoma Nurse Specialists who provide ongoing care and stoma advice to patients.

All outpatient clinics are undertaken in the Surgical Outpatient Department. Straight-to-Test Endoscopy clinics are undertaken by Consultants and Nurse Specialists in a dedicated Endoscopy suite, with daycase operating being performed in the General Daycase facility and all other operating being performed in the General Theatre Suite.
