We are the only Trust in the East Midlands to receive the highest possible score - ‘excellent' for quality of services and ‘excellent' for use of resources by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the independent regulator of the NHS, in its annual performance rating for 2008/09.The rating also puts our newly opened Royal Derby Hospital and London Road Community Hospital in the top nine per cent best performing Trusts in the country, with only 37 out of 392 being awarded the highly acclaimed, double excellent rating.
